• Sizes: Available in 6 sizes (XXS, XS, Small, Medium, Large and XL)
• Suitable for: Pets of all Sizes
• Closure: Uses cotton ties which allows for greater flexibility when securing your pet inside the COCOON. If you need a bit more room you can loosen the ties.
• Price: The Cotton COCOON is a lighter material than the wool and is easier to source and produce so it is more affordable. Being lightweight means shipping costs are also lower.

The Classic Cotton COCOON includes 2 extra sizes compared to the Premium Wool COCOON - the XXS and XS size which is for smaller pets such as mice, birds and rabbits.

The Small, Medium, Large and XL in the Classic Cotton are the exact same size as those respective sizes in the Premium Wool, and they are equally suitable for the same weight and size animal ranges.

What is the most important measurement when choosing a product size?

The most critical measurement is the approximate length of a pet from tip of nose to base of tail when lying down. When in doubt, we recommend sizing up to be safe.

My pet weighs “x” lbs., what size is best?

The most important measurement is the length of pet from tip of nose to base of tail when lying down, more so than the pet weights noted as guidelines on the size chart. If your pet is a bit heavier than the guide says, but fits the dimensions for the size, it should be fine. Please refer to the size charts starting with this measurement as a guide and just check the weight range as a secondary consideration. If in doubt, choose the next size up.

Our COCOON (Classic Cotton) range is vegan. It does not use any animal products.

Though the wool used in our Premium Wool range comes from sheep, it is ethically sourced from New Zealand. This wool is handcrafted into wool sheets by our team in Nepal. These sheets are then used to handcraft both our COCOON (Premium Wool) and CLOUD products.

Note: Most vegans will prefer the Classic Cotton COCOON range.

Our COCOONs comes with an eco-friendly, absorbent pad (scaled to suit each size) for protection and moisture management so you won't have to worry about leakage and soiling problems when transporting and burying your pet.

The 100% natural, corn bioplastic liner that is part of the absorbent pad is compostable and is suitable for short-term storage prior to burial or cremation.

Yes, some people like to also use the product before their pet passes – placing it on top of their pet’s bedding so their pet and family can become familiar with it. This also allows pets to get their scent on it ahead of time. Others may use it to help transport and carry their aging, sick or injured pet to the vet’s office or into their car when needed before they pass away as well.

The Large and XL COCOON sizes include removable wooden handles which helps you to lift heavier pets if you need to take them to the vets or to their final resting place.
